Critics have argued that the channel is damaging to the integrity of news overall. įox News controversies have included, among others, practicing biased reporting in favor of the Republican Party, its politicians, and conservative causes, while portraying the Democratic Party in a negative light. As of April 2022, Murdoch is the executive chairman since 2016, and Suzanne Scott has been the CEO since 2018. In 2019, Fox News was the top-rated cable network, averaging 2.5 million viewers. households (90.8% of television subscribers) received Fox News. Fox News grew during the late 1990s and 2000s to become the dominant United States cable news subscription network. It launched on October 7, 1996, to 17 million cable subscribers. The channel was created by Australian-American media mogul Rupert Murdoch in 1996 to appeal to a conservative audience, hiring former Republican media consultant and CNBC executive Roger Ailes as its founding CEO. I don't know if it's due to a bug in the game, but Custom 8-Player Maps appear to crash the game. The Fox News Channel, abbreviated FNC, commonly known as Fox News, and stylized in all caps, is an American multinational conservative cable news television channel based in New York City. You'll know if something's wrong if the Map in-game shows 10 Player Map, and only 8 Player Spawn Locations. This is especially important if you've got an 8-Player maps. When saving them using the Remastered Editor, make sure that you only have 8 Player Spawn Locations and that the Waypoints 'Home' and 'Reinf' are removed. Imported Maps that were created using RAED will have two many Waypoints (as RAED automatically adds the Waypoints 'Home' and 'Reinf'). This is so that there is a TGA File available to read in-game, and the TGA file map be needed for the Radar too. If you have a Custom Map that was created in another Map Editing Program, please load the map in the Remastered Map Editor supplied with the Remastered Version of the game, and then save the map in the appropriate Directory. To play the maps in-game, go to your Skirmish Screen and click 'Custom' in the Bottom Right Corner (next to 'Rules'). The Map editor will memorise the location if the Directory exists (if not, you'll be taken to your 'Documents' Directory).

Also note, this is based on a Windows 7 System.Ĭ:\Users\\Documents\CnCRemastered\Local_Custom_Maps\Red_AlertĬ:\Users\\Documents\CnCRemastered\Local_Custom_Maps\Tiberian_Dawn Please note, the following Directories don't exist until you've played the game for the first time. I have identified the location for Custom Maps (Created by the Local User).

This said, the Custom Data does shuffle around automatically. However, I haven't been able to test if the Maps run yet (the game not being fully released yet), though I will assume so.
#Red alert 2 maps 8 players mod
NOTE (For MOD Maps): If you intend to have maps with edited characteristics such as Ore Regeneration Rate, then you will be glad to know that the Remastered Map Editor doesn't get rid of the MOD Data internal to Maps. I will say, adding units and buildings is a lot easier, but making the actual map is harder compared to the original Win95 RA Scenario Editor. If the Remastered Map Editor supplied is too tiresome to use (due to the lack of a Copy and Paste function), then you can create map in RAED or Win95 RA Scenario Editor (or TD equivalent) first, and then load the map in the Remastered Map Editor. NOTE: I think it needs the '.TGA' file for the UI in-game, so it's best to load the Map in the Editor and save a new instance for usage in the Remastered Version of the game. It's fortunate that maps can be converted without any issues.

Something I noticed, when I saved my Custom Maps that I've been making (1 Fresh and 2 Port-Overs), The Creator saves a '.TGA' and a '.JSON' file in addition to the '.MPR' file that you'd expect to see normally. These Directories have other files contained within them (FileTypes: '.MIX' and '.INI').

However, I'm not sure if these are the official locations for User Created Maps, or any new Maps that were created for the Remastered Version of the game. I did find something interesting though, while digging around within the Game Directory, I found a possible location for the Custom Maps. I've checked the AppData and Documents directories, it's not there yet.
